Base pay range: $20.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) is a multidisciplinary arts center in Brooklyn, NY, with over 150 years of history. BAM hosts innovative programming in theater, dance, music, opera, film, and more, showcasing emerging and modern artists.

We are seeking Seasonal Cleaners for Dance Africa 2025 Bazaar in the Facilities Department. The role involves maintaining cleanliness for the event by collaborating with custodial staff, supervisors, and security.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping
• Transporting trash to dumpsters on Ashland Place and St. Felix
• Emptying trash cans and replacing liners
• Walking across the Bazaar grounds

Qualifications

• Ability to stand/walk for long periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Work in potentially bad weather
• Calmly interact with patrons and staff
• Handle shifting priorities

Compensation: $20/hour, non-exempt, eligible for Sick and Safe Time. Must work all three days (5/24, 5/25, 5/26) with shifts from 7AM to 4PM or 4PM to 1AM.
