Role Overview

The Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry inspires customers throughout their culinary journey, blending culinary talent and teaching skills to support the Resident Chef and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Model and direct staff to meet customer service standards.
  • Deliver engaging cooking classes using provided recipes and plans.
  • Maintain product knowledge and seek additional training resources.
  • Ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are upheld.
  • Cook and serve food at correct temperatures and sanitary conditions.
  • Work with the team to meet sales goals and promote retail.
  • Communicate policies and SOPs effectively.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback.
  • Seek opportunities to increase sales.
  • Accurately record work hours and handle issues proactively.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • May handle alcohol and mix drinks as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Resident Chef.
Essential Functions
  • Communicate effectively and work cooperatively.
  • Remain stationary for extended periods and move about as needed.
  • Recognize flavors and odors accurately.
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Work varied schedules to teach classes at different times.
  • Operate computers and POS systems.
  • Maintain regular attendance.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years kitchen experience or culinary degree in Pastry.
  • Successful teaching experience.
  • Food Handlers/Managers Certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to motivate and communicate effectively.

  • $17.00 - $19.17/hour
