Position Summary:
The Zip Line Cashier is responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for our guests and employees on our Zip Line Course. This position is responsible for the following goals related to safety, service, and efficiency related to operating higher complexity activities. Responsible for record/file keeping, ticket sales, and all related reports. Building positive professional relationships with guests and employees is key to this position’s success. We are looking for enthusiastic applicants with a personal commitment to professionalism, safety, and exceptional customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cash and card handling responsibilities.
- Assist guests and provide information in a safe, professional manner on complex activities.
- Perform all tasks for which the work group is responsible.
- Provide a safe environment for guests and staff to participate while ensuring safety, fun, and guest engagement at the highest level.
- Constantly monitor adherence to safety policies to ensure that guest and staff safety is our highest priority.
- Greet guests, give an introductory orientation talk, and provide information on the Zip Line tour.
- Assist in the inspection of guest equipment.
- Complete daily end-of-day sales report and keep daily files of inspections, guest counts, and all related records.
- Inform Manager of any maintenance and supply needs of the Zip Line office.
- Ensure the highest level of cleanliness at all times while actively mitigating any hazards that may arise.
- Fit guests in harnesses and helmets correctly and ensure the use of all safety equipment.
- Use customer engagement skills to ensure a memorable experience for each guest.
- Educate guests about the history of Grand Canyon West as well as geology, culture, and the Hualapai Tribe.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Have the physical capability to assist and accommodate guests of various sizes.
- Be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Family and kid-friendly.
- Strong computer skills.
Qualifications:
- Preference given to Hualapai Tribal Members.
- Good oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and an outgoing personality.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
