Job summary

Frugal Fannie's is seeking a seasonal Cashier to deliver a positive checkout experience in a fast-paced setting. You will operate the register, process payments, fold and bag items, and keep your workstation clean and organized.

The role requires 3–6 months of cashier or customer service experience, basic English proficiency, and strong communication and customer service skills. You will also assist with mailing list signups and support the sales floor as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months of cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable working quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment.
• Basic English language proficiency for reading, speaking, and writing.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and resolve issues as they arise.
• Comfortable following procedures and maintaining accuracy under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in line with Frugal Fannies' standards.
• Accurately scan, count, and verify merchandise at checkout.
• Operate the cash register and process payments.
• Handle cash, checks, debit/credit, gift cards, and store credits.
• Maintain a tidy register area and assist with mailing list signups.
• Support the sales floor and perform other duties as assigned.
