Save More Marketplace is seeking a Cashier to provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout experiences. You will greet customers, scan items, handle payments, and balance tills while maintaining a clean, welcoming lane.

The role requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail setting. Flexible scheduling may be required, including evenings and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, retail, grocery, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Dependable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
• Accurately scan merchandise and process customer purchases.
• Accept cash, checks, credit/debit cards, EBT, gift cards, and other approved payment methods.
• Count back change accurately and balance cash drawers according to company procedures.
• Bag groceries carefully to protect products and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Verify identification for age-restricted purchases in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
• Assist customers with questions, product locations, and store services.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked checkout lane.
• Monitor checkout supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Perform price checks and request assistance when necessary.
• Follow all coupon, discount, and promotional procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and payment transactions.
• Assist with stocking, facing merchandise, cleaning, and other front-end responsibilities during slower periods.
• Help maintain a safe shopping environment by reporting spills, hazards, or suspicious activity.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
