Job summary

Total Wine & More in Washington State is seeking a Front End Team Member (Cashier/Sales Associate) to deliver fast, friendly service while processing transactions, answering questions, and promoting loyalty programs.

You will work a flexible schedule, gain product knowledge through wine, spirits, and beer training, and be part of a safety‑conscious, compliant store environment with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years in retail preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8-10 hours a day.
• Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
• Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including ID verification and payment handling.
• Answer customer inquiries and promote loyalty program.
• Bag products and maintain a clean, organized checkout area.
• Greet customers, build relationships, and inform about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Ensure adherence to laws and maintain a safe store environment.
• Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

About the role

As a Cashier, you play an essential role in the customer service experience by providing customers with fast and friendly service. You will process transactions, answer questions, and ensure customers leave feeling positive about their visit. While both part-time and full-time positions generally focus on being a cashier, you may also be assigned as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock associate. Internally, you will be referred to Front End Team Member and report to the store management team. You will Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty program, and bagging product Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing about products and services Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment Complete cross-functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• 1-3 years of work experience, 1+ years of experience in a retail setting preferred

Compensation

Pay Range: $18.02 - $25.23 Hourly
