If you are a highly motivated individual with business tax preparation experience and excellent communication skills, we need you to help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax Business products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns, as well as significant experience in preparing and filing these returns.

Responsibilities
  • This is a virtual, customer-facing role; you will be using our state-of-the-art video communications software (Smartlook) to interact with customers.
  • Help TurboTax Business customers with:
  • Tax advice
  • Full Service Business return preparation and signature
  • Product/software inquiries
  • Tax calculations
  • Filing tax extensions
  • Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence through deep customer empathy and your extensive knowledge in business tax preparation and accounting.
  • Leverage government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to find and deliver accurate answers in everyday language.
  • Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer inquiries.
  • Document all customer interactions thoroughly.
  • Continuously work toward meeting company key performance metrics and goals.
  • Participate in pilot testing, projects, and validations as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for a minimum of 20 clients per season, using commercial tax software.
  • Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 returns per year, preferred.
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours per week, spread over three or more days.
  • Bookkeeping experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry clients is strongly preferred.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain applicable state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
  • Must have an active PTIN.
  • Knowledge of Circular 230.
  • Proficiency with technology and software.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, research, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable internet connection meeting security standards.
  • Reside in the United States.
