Description

We are currently hiring a Seasonal Bulk Plant Driver.

This does have the potential to become a full-time position.

Summary:

Driversfor Crystal Flash (CF) are valued team members who are responsible for delivering fuels to customer or company locations in a safe and efficient manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently drives commercial vehicles Monday through Friday and occasional weekends in all types of weather conditions.
  • Loads, unloads, and moves fuels and/orpropanesafely fromplant facilityto customer or company locations in a timely manner.
  • Follows company policies andfederal and state regulations.
  • Keepsa safe record regarding accidents, driving record, injuries, and other actions/events, following all company safety guidelines.
  • Maintains clean equipment, uniforms, and cab space, ensuring any repairs are communicated promptly.
  • Completesaccurate and timelydocumentation for delivery of product, volume of delivery, and inventory controlmanagement.
  • Appropriately usesinternal systems, handheld devices, andother electronic equipmentfor work purposes.
  • Takes direction from dispatchers and/or managers, following delivery instructions and maintaining good working relationship.
  • Communicates with team members, management, and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stays calm and levelheaded in stressful situations and refrains from emotional outbursts.
  • Adoptsnew methods, procedures, and changes in a positive manner.
  • Offers suggestions to improve efficiency and solutions to solve problems.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Certificates, licenses, registrations:

Required: Valid Michigan driver’s license; CDL-A or B with Air/Tanker/Hazmat endorsements; CETP certification preferred

General Requirements, Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older with aCommercial Driver's License, ClassB
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsement must be obtained to be hired.
  • CTEPcertificationwithinfirst year of hire ifdelivering/handling propane.
  • At least one year’s previous truck driving experience preferred.
  • At least 3 months driving experience after graduating from truck driving school.
  • No BACs, DUIs, DWIs within 10 years
  • No license suspensions for moving violations in the past 5 years.
  • No major preventable accidents within the past year
  • No reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years in a personal or commercial vehicle
  • Able to pass a DOT physical and drug test.
  • Able to work rotational on-call nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of driving safety rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of mechanics and hazardous materials preferred.
  • Good communication and human relations skills
