Job summary

Canterbury Park is seeking a part-time Building Service Attendant to maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility. Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, disinfecting, vacuuming, window washing, and supporting event setup.

The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and ensuring readiness for daily operations. Qualified candidates are 16+, able to lift and move objects, and must pass pre-employment screening including a background check and MRC license where required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years or older.
• Able to stack, move and set up chairs and tables.
• Must pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening including a criminal background check and verification of work history.
• Must be able to obtain an MRC license.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism.
• Foster teamwork, delegate tasks, and coach team members for growth.
• Clean all areas of the building: dust, mop, disinfect, vacuum, sweep and wash windows.
• Empty trash and reline bins; manage garbage and break down boxes.
• Restock bathrooms and prepare spaces for events and daily operations.
• Assist with event setup and ensure the building is ready for day-to-day business.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Building Service Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the facility. Key duties include cleaning all areas of the building through dusting, mopping, disinfecting, vacuuming, sweeping, and washing windows. The Custodian supports event setup and ensures the building is prepared for daily operations. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead by example.
• Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
• Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, delegates effectively and coaches and mentors direct reports for growth opportunities.
• Responsible for cleaning all areas of the building including dusting, moping, disinfecting, vacuuming, washing windows and sweeping.
• Empty trash cans and reline them.
• Check on garbage compactor (make sure it's not plugged in), break down any boxes.
• Restock all bathrooms as needed.
• Event setup.
• Make sure building is ready for day to day business.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years or older.
• Able to stack, move and set up chairs and tables.
• Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history.
• Must be able to obtain an MRC license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Housekeeping experience helpful.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a pressure washer.

• Must be able to wear and operate a 35 lbs. back pack vacuum or blower.
