Job summary

Canterbury Park is seeking a part-time Building Service Attendant to maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility during the live racing season and year-round activities. You will perform cleaning tasks, assist with event setup, and help ensure the building is ready for daily operations.

Ideal candidates are 16+, able to move chairs/tables, and capable of passing pre-employment screening; bilingual English/Spanish and housekeeping or customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years or older.
• Able to stack, move and set up chairs and tables.
• Pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening including a background check and verification of work history.
• Must be able to obtain an MRC license.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example.
• Maintain a high degree of hospitality and a positive, professional demeanor.
• Support event setup and daily operations.
• Clean all areas of the building including dusting, moping, disinfecting, vacuuming, washing windows and sweeping.
• Empty trash and restock bathrooms.

Job Summary

The Building Service Attendant is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the facility. Key duties include cleaning all areas of the building through dusting, mopping, disinfecting, vacuuming, sweeping, and washing windows. The Custodian supports event setup and ensures the building is prepared for daily operations. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead by example.
• Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
• Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, delegates effectively and coaches and mentors direct reports for growth opportunities.
• Responsible for cleaning all areas of the building including dusting, moping, disinfecting, vacuuming, washing windows and sweeping.
• Empty trash cans and reline them.
• Check on garbage compactor (make sure it's not plugged in), break down any boxes.
• Restock all bathrooms as needed.
• Event setup.
• Make sure building is ready for day to day business.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years or older.
• Able to stack, move and set up chairs and tables.
• Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history.
• Must be able to obtain an MRC license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Housekeeping experience helpful.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a pressure washer.

• Flexibility of schedule is required. Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays during the live racing season (May-September).
• Requires working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Requires working in extreme temperatures.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Requires frequent wrist or hand use.
• Must be able to wear and operate a 35 lbs. back pack vacuum or blower.
