Job summary

The Salvation Army Christmas Bell Program is seeking volunteers for seasonal full-time bell ringing at Jackson, MS locations. You will greet donors, maintain a friendly appearance, and represent the organization with professionalism in outdoor weather, across extended shifts.

There are no formal education or experience requirements, and responsibilities include ringing the bell, following instructions, and upholding dress code while engaging the public with courtesy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of The Salvation Army Christmas Bell Program.
• Ability to greet and respond to the general public courteously.
• Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision.
• Ability to abide by required dress code.
• Ability to ring small hand bell and manage bell and apron.

Responsibilities

• Greet the public with a warm, cheerful attitude
• Make eye contact, smile, and thank donors sincerely
• Show up on time and complete scheduled shifts
• Handle the donation kettle responsibly
• Wear Salvation Army gear or uniform appropriately
• Maintain a neat and respectful appearance
• Comfortable working alone at a kettle station for extended periods
• Effectively represent the organization during the campaign
• Interact respectfully with donors, store staff, and the public
