Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Christmas Bell Ringer to be a friendly, positive representative at approved locations, standing beside the kettle to collect donations and raise awareness of the organization's work.

Be at least 18, able to stand for extended periods, wear ID, greet customers, and report hours; a background check may be required when around children. Punctuality, courtesy and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Background check may be required when working near children.
• Be neatly groomed, friendly, punctual and respectful.
• Understand the mission of the Christmas Kettle Program.
• Able to function in a fast-paced environment and maintain good relationships.

Responsibilities

• Show up to work on time at the assigned location.
• Stand and ring the bell at kettle stand.
• Wear proper identification (ID badge, logo attire).
• Record worked hours daily, including lunch breaks.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner.
• Communicate with Kettle Coordinator if unable to report to work or if availability changes.
• Do not eat, drink, be on the phone, or under any controlled substance while on duty.
• Keep work area clean and perform other duties as directed.
