Job summary

Ulta Beauty is hiring a Seasonal Beauty Advisor to deliver exceptional guest experiences, conduct makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations while supporting sales goals in a fast-paced store environment.

The role emphasizes personable customer service, knowledge of products, and the ability to work evenings/weekends. Training and strong team collaboration are part of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store.
• Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing service to their needs, answering questions about products and services, informing guests about promotions and sales, and recommending products/services.
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges and assist with online orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and the guest service experience.
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while delivering on sales goals.
• Stay informed regarding new and existing products and services and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive environment that supports teammates and guests.
• Promote the guest loyalty program through Ulta Beauty app and systems.
• Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
• Participate in ongoing training for product knowledge and sales performance.
• Be knowledgeable of policies, procedures, and standards and adhere to dress code.
• Drive sales by keeping work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure testers are available.
• Maintain store cleanliness and appearance, including sales floor, restrooms, cash wrap, backroom, and break area.
• Assist with merchandise resets, planograms, displays, inventory procedures, and shipments using Ulta Beauty’s processes.
• Protect assets by following loss prevention practices and providing excellent guest service.
• Execute other operational tasks as directed.
