General Summary & Scope

The Seasonal Beauty Advisor (BA) is responsible for providing an exceptional experience for all Ulta Beauty guests by engaging each guest to determine their needs, conducting cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The role supports the leadership team through performance, guest service, and process adherence. A passion for beauty, exceptional guest service, and product knowledge are essential.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The Seasonal Beauty Advisor demonstrates Ulta Beauty’s mission, vision, and values through:

Performance

• Meeting or exceeding sales, loyalty, and operational goals.
• Providing exceptional guest service, engaging with guests, answering questions, informing about promotions, and recommending products/services.
• Handling customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and supporting online orders.
• Performing makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demos to drive sales.
• Booking appointments and supporting in-store events.
• Staying informed about products and services to better serve guests.
• Maintaining regular attendance.

People

• Supporting an inclusive environment for teammates and guests.
• Sharing loyalty program benefits with guests.
• Collaborating with team members to grow the business.
• Participating in ongoing training and development.

Process

• Ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Adhering to dress code.
• Replenishing and facing merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness.
• Participating in merchandise resets, inventory, and shipment processing.
• Following loss prevention practices and executing operational tasks.

Job Qualifications

Education: High school diploma preferred.

Experience: 1 year relevant experience or equivalent preferred.

Skills: Passion for guest service, sales competency, proficiency with basic technology, relationship building, troubleshooting, ability to work independently and in a team.

Position Requirements

• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

• Mobility, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 25 lbs., and object manipulation during shifts.
