Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring for a seasonal bartender position at Fitchburg State College. You will prepare and serve beverages to guests in the bar area in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.

Shifts run Thursday and Friday, 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Prior bartending experience is preferred, and training is provided. The role requires adherence to liquor laws and responsible service, with opportunities to learn and grow within a respected dining services team.

• Prior bartending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves beverages in bar area in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.
• Adheres to liquor regulations pertaining to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up bars and stocks beer, wine, spirits, glassware and related items.
• Maintains stock and garnishes, to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests and processes drink orders with proper portion control.
• Checks IDs and monitors intoxication as required by law.
• Handles cash, charges and vouchers accurately.
