The Special Event Server / Bartender is the face of Conceptually Social at all Conceptually Social catered events. They are responsible for representing the brand in an upbeat and professional manner, as well as in accordance with the spirit of the event. The ideal candidate understands and appreciates the opportunity to be a part of our clients' special events. They easily adapt to new and different environments, work well within a team as well as independently, and have a strong ability to think on their feet and multitask.

Requirements

PAY: $21/hour + Tips

Experience We Are Looking For
  • 2 Years services experience in a restaurant, hotel or catering environment; banquet service and/or tray service experience a plus
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
  • Ability to easily adapt to a new settings and new team members
  • Can follow directives and instructions, on the spot, during busy times
  • Outgoing high energy personality
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Flexibility with schedules and ability to work at different locations throughout the valley
  • Ability to memorize menu items and descriptions quickly with ability to relay important ingredient and allergen information to guests
Additional Requirements For Bartenders
  • 1 year bartending in a full bar with experience in working the well (banquet and catering experience a plus but not required)
  • General knowledge of most common beer types and wine varietals
  • Experienced in working independently, and able to organize back-up garnishes, mixers and alcohols so they stay cold or to appropriate temperatures, and you continue to have what you need through service
  • Ability to apply payments and close checks properly to include handling cash and give change with accuracy
What You Can Expect To Be Doing
  • Act as an information point of contact for guests, and be able to guide them in their needs
  • Obtain full knowledge of food and beverage items in order to properly educate customers about the event's menu
  • Wetting up and breaking down dining/bar area, stocking stations properly, and keeping server/bar areas organized throughout service
  • Routinely manicure and bus dining, bar, and cocktail tables and areas
  • Replenish buffet or other food stations and make sure they continue to look plentiful and are stocked with appropriate plates and flatware.
  • Communicate product needs to Event Captain
  • Apply safe Food Handling and Sanitation practices when preparing, handling or storing consumable items
  • Properly checking guest IDs, when a guest orders alcohol, and serve alcoholic drinks legally as outlined by Arizona liquor laws
  • Assist with loading and unloading event to and from the kitchen
All Employees Need To Meet The Following
  • 21 years or older
  • Food handling card or certification through the approved organization, and ability to apply that knowledge by way of proper food handling
  • Able to lift and move 50 pounds
  • Able to sustain working long hours on your feet
  • Should have reliable transportation to get to scheduled shifts and locations on time, and to get home after your shift
  • Cell Phone
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
  • Ability to easily adapt to new settings and new team members
  • Can professionally follow directives and instructions, on the spot, during busy times
  • Outgoing high energy personality
  • Ability to communicate accurate information and needs peers and managers
  • Is problem and solution-orientated
  • *Servers and bartenders need TIPS liquor certification
  • * FOH & BOH Managers and Supervisor Roles need a valid driver's license and clean driving record
