Job summary

Neiman Marcus in Pursuit of the Extraordinary is seeking a Restaurant Bartender to serve customers with warmth and professionalism, leveraging knowledge of menu items and bar offerings. You will assist with beer, wine, and spirits service and operate the POS system to ensure accurate transactions.

• Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology.

• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.

• Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serves and interacts with customers in a professional and gracious manner
• Utilizes thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items
• Supports smooth staff delivery of bar items through use of POS / ticket systems
• Leverages thorough knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including technical and service procedures
• Participates in daily pre-shift meeting
• Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment and maintains knowledge of the POS system
• Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation including pre-shift, post-shift and daily and weekly duties as assigned by the Manager
• Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
• Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards to include, but not limited to: Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes, Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS:

The hourly rate for this position is between $ 17 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
