Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a Seasonal Barista at Capital One Cafe in Durham, NC. The role involves making coffee and espresso drinks, handling food per HACCP, and serving customers with a friendly, attentive attitude.

Schedule is seasonal (Fridays and Saturdays 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, Sundays 9:30 AM–6:30 PM). $16.00 per hour with benefits, training opportunities, and free parking. Applications are accepted ongoing until filled.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders accurately into POS device; accepts cash and charge payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Greets customers courteously and interacts in a manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
