Job summary

Macy's is seeking a welcoming Barista to craft Starbucks beverages and deliver caring hospitality at the point of sale. You will follow Starbucks standards, maintain a clean work area, and provide exceptional service while working with a fast-paced team.

Full-time or part-time colleagues may work 30+ or 12-24 hours per week, with weekend shifts required. The role offers benefits and opportunities to develop customer service and beverage skills in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate current and working knowledge of drip coffee, cold beverage, espresso bar, and pastry stations.
• Follow company standards and maintain work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
• Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills providing an exceptional customer experience.
• Educate, sample, and serve customers craveable food and beverage products.
• Opens and/or closes area following appropriate checklist.
