Job summary

Seaport Entertainment Management, LLC is seeking a Barback to support Sadie’s bar in New York City. The role is seasonal and reports to the General Manager, assisting bartenders to keep the bar stocked and ready for service.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in bar support, strong communication, and the ability to work a fast-paced schedule. This position offers competitive pay with a tip credit applied where applicable and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a bar attendant, barback, or runner.
• Energy, enthusiasm, and passion for food and hospitality.
• Experience serving beverages and food.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with focus.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent guest experience by supporting bartenders during service.
• Greet guests, serve water, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, and assist as directed.
• Interact with bar guests and staff in a courteous manner to ensure hospitality.
• Anticipate and accommodate guest needs promptly.
• Keep liquor displays organized and maintain par levels.
• Keep the bar clean, ready for service and free of spills.
• Ensure adequate stock behind the bar during service and communicate needs.
• Comply with health and sanitation standards.
• Perform other duties as required.
