Job summary

Mountain Capital Partners' Purgatory Resort in Durango, CO 81301 is seeking a Seasonal Snow Safety and Training Supervisor to coordinate avalanche mitigation, oversee ski patrol training, and ensure safety protocols across all operations.

The role runs mid-October 2026 to mid-April 2027, offers a free season pass for you and dependents, and requires OEC, CPR, and avalanche certifications, plus five years of ski patrol experience, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

• > High school diploma or equivalent required.
• > OEC certification and CPR required.
• > Avalanche certification required (Pro 1). Colorado explosives permit required.
• > 5 years ski patrol experience with supervisory exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise avalanche mitigation program and route coordination.
• Lead training for patrollers and Rookie Training Week.
• Maintain snow safety records and explosives inventory/use logs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for explosives handling and storage.
• Coordinate with CAIC and other agencies for safety information.
• Oversee training curriculum and employee performance evaluations.
• Assist with patrol operations and rescue response as needed.
