Job summary

Mountain Capital Partners at Purgatory Resort in Durango, CO is seeking a Ski/Snowboard Instructor for the 2026-27 season. You will teach students of all ages and abilities, plan and run age-appropriate lessons, and emphasize safety while delivering high-quality instruction outdoors.

The seasonal position runs from 12/05/2026 to 04/04/2027 and includes a free season pass for you and your dependents. Benefits are outlined by the employer and include ongoing team support on the slopes.

Qualifications

• This is a physical position requiring the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Effective oral and written communication and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Safety-conscious approach and positive attitude are required for high-quality lessons.

Responsibilities

• Teach students of all ages and ability levels in alpine skiing and/or snowboarding.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate, progressive lessons.
• Promote and emphasize safety in all classes.
• Maintain a positive attitude and encourage continuous learning.
• Assist with daily operations and set-up/teardown around facilities.
• Support with daily tasks such as operating the magic carpet when needed.
