Responsibilities

• Holds organizational meetings for team prospects and encourages participation.
• Assesses player skills and assigns team positions.
• Coaches players regarding rules, equipment and techniques.
• Observes players to determine needs for improvement.
• Maintains standards of pupil behavior and supervises athletes.
• Handles athlete injuries following established procedures.
• Conferences with parents/guardians regarding performance.
• Follows state and district regulations governing the athletic program.
• Models sportsmanlike conduct towards players, officials, spectators.
• Manages equipment, supplies and uniforms.
• Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.
• Other duties as assigned
