Job summary

Carter's is seeking a Seasonal Associate to greet customers, guide them through our baby and children’s lines, and support a welcoming shopping experience in-store.

You will assist with product selection, resolve issues, and help with inventory and checkout processes while contributing to a friendly, efficient retail environment. Availability for days, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and greet customers warmly.
• Comfort with multitasking in a busy store environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and help them with product styles and features.
• Resolve customer issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Assist with omnichannel needs and maintain store appearance and stock.
• Process transactions at the point of sale accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with floor replenishment and shipments as needed.
• Explain promotions and loyalty programs to customers.

What you'll do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits


• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment


• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience


• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions


• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed


• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers


• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we'd love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset


• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills


• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills


• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling


• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder


• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
