Job summary

Carter's is seeking a Seasonal Associate to be the first face of the brand for growing families. You will greet customers, share knowledge about our baby essentials, and help families prep for everyday moments with warmth and care.

You will confidently resolve customer questions, support omnichannel shopping, and handle register transactions in a busy, welcoming store environment. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous customer-facing experience preferred.
• Ability to stay composed and helpful in a busy retail setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and help with product styles, features, and benefits.
• Resolve customer issues proactively and manage multiple customers on the floor.
• Assist with omnichannel needs to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and complete point of sale transactions efficiently.
• Perform floor replenishment and assist with shipments as needed.
• Explain current promotions and the brand loyalty program, including credit options.
• Help minimize store loss by maintaining high levels of customer service and store cleanliness.

What you’ll do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits.
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment.
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed.
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers.
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store.

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder.
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
