Job summary

Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation is seeking an Assistant Cook at the Nespelem Senior Meal Site. This non-exempt seasonal role supports the head cook in planning, preparing, and serving nutritionally balanced meals to seniors in a congregate setting and to homebound clients.

You will help with menu planning, food purchases, and maintaining sanitation. Candidates must have a HS diploma or GED, plus 2 years of experience with elderly populations and relevant permits.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED or willingness to obtain one.
• Requires two (2) years paid work experience with elderly/senior citizens.
• Must have or obtain Food Handler permit, First Aid and CPR within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the senior center head cook with planning, preparing and serving meals.
• Help with menu planning and food purchases.
• Maintain sanitary conditions at the senior center.
• Deliver meals to clients at their homes.
