Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a seasonal 8-week contract.

Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
• BLS & ACLS required
• 2 years’ experience applicable to the assignment
• RN to work a minimum of thirty-six (36) hours per pay week during the assignment

Responsibilities

• The RN has multiple roles including caregiver, decision-maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher.
• Assessment of the nursing needs of the patient and initiation of the plan of care.
• Implementation of the plan of care and evaluation of the process using the nursing process.
• Adherence to professional standards to provide dignified and quality nursing care.

Position Summary

• The RN has multiple roles and functions including caregiver, decision-maker, client advocate, manager, rehabilitator, comforter, communicator, and teacher.




• The functions include assessment of the nursing needs of the patient, initiation of the plan of care of nurse action, implementation of the plan of care and the evaluation of the process, by use of the nursing process.




• The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.




• The RN promotes the dignity and quality of the nursing care given to the patient
