Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking seasonal staff at Snowshoe Mountain to recruit, interview, and train lifeguards to Ellis & Associates ILTP standards. You will track certifications and help develop ongoing training programs while coordinating with supervisors and staff to maintain safety and service excellence.

The role emphasizes scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring equipment and facilities meet safety and presentation standards across Shavers Lake and related areas.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard CPR, BLS and AED certifications preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong leadership and training abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, and train lifeguards to Ellis & Associates ILTP standards.
• Track lifeguards, CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Manage training seminars and provide coaching, documenting hours.
• Assist with performance evaluations and staff scheduling.
• Forecast budgets and ensure equipment, facilities, and safety guidelines are maintained.
