ACTS Airport Services has immediate full-time openings for Aviation Security Officers at our seasonal construction locations at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, starting on April 15, 2025. Current Wage Rate: $20.00 per hour

Essential Functions:

• Control access to restricted airport areas, allowing only authorized individuals.
• Screen and log persons and vehicles accessing restricted areas.
• Conduct vehicle inspections at perimeter access points and vulnerable entries.
• Screen employees, vendors, visitors, and belongings with x-ray machines, hand wands, and magnetometers.
• Manage access at employee checkpoints and monitor exit lanes from sterile to public areas.
• Escort and provide security for construction activities on runways, taxiways, and terminals.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies.
• Assist passengers as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Prepare incident reports related to customer complaints, safety/security issues, or operational events.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
• Handle security and emergency situations appropriately.
• Participate in security and safety training programs.
• Meet licensing and permit requirements for Aviation Security Officers.
• Familiarize with airport operations manuals and post orders.

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of verifiable security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Proof of ability to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass TSA Security Threat Assessment and criminal background check.
• Meet licensing and permit requirements.

• Proficiency in English, both oral and written communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Physical ability to stand or walk for entire shift and lift 25 lbs.
