Seasonal Agriculture Worker - Summer 2025

Seneca Foods Corporation in Montgomery, MN is currently seeking seasonal agricultural workers for its 2025 production season:

  • Peas mid-June through late July
  • Corn late July through mid-October

This timeframe is tentative and can be affected by the weather and crop availability. Seneca provides safe working conditions, paid overtime over 40 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and on-the-job training.

Job Positions:
  • Harvest Operator: Operate pea combine and/or corn harvester, assist with minor machine repairs, adjustments, maintenance, and sanitation.
  • Crop Sampler: Collect 15- to 20-pound samples of peas and/or corn accurately and promptly.
  • Pre-grade/Raw Product Grading: Process pea and/or corn samples at the manufacturing plant after field sampling.
  • Truck Router/Flow Control: Dispatch trucks and schedule loads to ensure timely processing.

All positions must:

  • Work safely and responsibly.
  • Follow GMPs and safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Regular attendance
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Valid driver’s license for positions involving equipment operation
  • Harvest Operators: Farm equipment operation experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work 12+ hour shifts; shifts may vary due to weather and crop conditions.

Starting wage: $14.39 to $16.77 per hour, based on skills and experience.
