Job summary

Michigan Sugar Company is seeking an industrial cleaner to operate power cleaning equipment and to drive between piling grounds, performing tasks at multiple locations. The role requires understanding cleaning chemicals, food safety regulations, and state safety mandates, with minimal supervision.

The position is hourly, seasonal, and tied to the union Local #261-G. Responsibilities include maintaining logs, following SQF/GMP guidelines, inspecting equipment, and attending required training.

Qualifications

• Must understand MSDS sheets and their purposes.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment used in agricultural sanitation.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and SOPs.
• Valid Driver’s License; ability to obtain a chauffeur license.

Responsibilities

• Operate floor cleaning and care machines safely and efficiently.
• Operate a street sweeper and maintain it.
• Work independently to complete daily activities per schedule.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and SOPs.
