Job summary

Qualifications

  • Must hold WSI, LGT, Waterfront Certification, and CPR certifications.
  • Maintain good physical condition and attend drills.

Job description

An individual who deals with administering swim classes under the direction of the site Head Instructor. This individual is also responsible for the safety and well-being of others. Supervised by the Head Guard in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the Recreation Division and the America Red Cross Lifeguard Waterfront Certification training. Beach, pond, or Lake Memorial Day through Labor Day, and weekends. Set up & clean the beach.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. WSI, LGT, Waterfront Certification, Professional Rescuer CPR.
Additional Qualifications:
  1. Know emergency procedures of assigned sites.
  2. Certifications as above.
  3. Maintain good physical condition; attend all morning drills.
  4. Good vision and auditory skills.
  5. Run, swim, and paddle.
  6. Deal with volatile situations with professionalism.
Hours:

9am-5 pm, Memorial Day through Labor Day, including weekends.

Compensation:

$19.50 hourly, no benefits.
