A leading technology solutions provider seeks a technical support professional to assist clients with search technologies. This role offers remote flexibility while troubleshooting complex issues, documenting solutions, and participating in on-call rotations. What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist clients in configuring products and resolving technical issues related to search technologies
- Troubleshoot complex search issues in and around Lucene/Solr
- Document solutions into knowledge base articles for customer access
- Communicate high-value use cases and customer feedback to internal teams
- Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays
What is Required (Qualifications):
- US Citizenship required due to government contracts
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience with search technologies such as Apache Lucene/Solr
- 3+ years of professional experience in a customer-facing level 2-3 tech support role
- Proficiency with Java and one or more common scripting languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.) and Kubernetes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- BS or higher in Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience with technical support CRM systems (Salesforce, Zendesk, etc.)
- Exposure to related open-source projects (Mahout, Hadoop, Tika, etc.) and commercial search technologies
- Enterprise Search, eCommerce, and/or Business Intelligence experience
- Experience working in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment
