A leading company is seeking a Seal Repair Technician 2 responsible for disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment. This role involves evaluating returned materials, performing repairs, and ensuring all components meet specifications. The technician will maintain records, assist newer personnel, and communicate with customers about services. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and relevant experience in mechanical repairs.
Under general supervision, the Seal Repair Technician 2 is responsible for all processes related to disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment. The Seal Repair Technician 2 follows instructions from a repair job packet and router to perform DCI (Dismantle, Clean, and Inspect) and provides a written description of the wear and condition of critical components and seals. This position completes all inspection forms, takes pictures of all critical components, and uses inspection equipment for proper documentation of the assembly. With assistance, the technician identifies, inspects, and evaluates returned materials, determines repair operations, performs simple shop operations, verifies specifications, initiates work and purchase orders.
