Job summary

Wegmans in Montvale, NJ is looking for a Seafood team member who provides outstanding customer service and helps maintain a fresh, diverse seafood selection throughout the day.

You will assist customers with orders, stock shelves with seafood items, and may unload deliveries to stock cases, displays, and backrooms. This role supports our mission to deliver incredible service and healthy food options.

Work Environment

The physical demands of this work are classified as medium to heavy. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, and reaching, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors with exposure to cold (33 – 55 degrees) temperatures and hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees). Basic tools and equipment used include u-cart, hand/power jack, box cutter, knives, fryer, ice machine, and ice tables.; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting; Experience utilizing a variety of cooking techniques
