Job summary

Metcalfe's Market in Wisconsin is hiring for a part-time seafood associate. You will prepare, package, label, and merchandise seafood products, stock backroom, and coordinate with the Seafood Manager on orders. You will work as part of a store team to meet guest experience, safety, and cleaning standards.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing skills, and attention to detail. High school diploma preferred; previous retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Must be able to work with seafood without negative allergic consequences.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Seafood Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Seafood Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Seafood Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Seafood Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Notify the Seafood Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Work as a team with other departments and stores to achieve growth in SpartanNash Retail stores.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
