Trident Seafoods is seeking a Seafood Processor 1 in Anacortes, WA. The role processes seafood products by performing essential tasks in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities include cutting, trimming, sorting, packing, and moving seafood, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Entry level with preferred 1 year food manufacturing experience; HS diploma or equivalent recommended. Company offers comprehensive benefits and paid time off.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Seafood Processor 1role processes seafood products by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions:

• Cleans, scraps,andtrimsproduct.
• Opens and removes raw materials and places on belts.
• Segregates product on conveyor belt or table according to grade, color, and size, and places product in containers or on designated conveyors.
• Ability to cut and portion frozen fish blocks using a band saw; inspect product quality, maintain a clean work area, and follow all food safety and workplace safety guidelines
• Discards cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign matter.
• Packs product in boxes, barrels, baskets, or crates for storage or shipment.
• Operates machine(s) to move live orpackedseafood from place to place.
• Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.
• Acquiresknowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activitiesin accordance withtraining and procedures/work instructions.
• Notifiesdesignated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented,in accordance withEnvironmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
• Follows plant food safety policies and industry best practices.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job includedistance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
