Job summary

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in seafood processing or related manufacturing.
• Documented management and leadership training a plus.
• Strong seafood knowledge, including storage and handling.
• Experience with SeaSoft or similar ERP systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills (English; Spanish a plus).
• 5-7 years of leadership in a production environment.
• Experience with processing equipment (scalers, skinners, filleting, portioning, packaging).
• Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production, labor management, and KPI performance across all processing shifts.
• Forecast production needs using sales/history data to align staffing and goals.
• Analyze yield performance; manage cost-to-build guides and yield databases.
• Drive labor efficiency, process flow, and equipment utilization improvements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs for safety, quality, and consistency.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, QA/QC, Sales, Finance, HR to align priorities.
• Lead hiring, performance evaluations, training, and daily huddles.
• Maintain HACCP, FDA, USDA, and BRC compliance in a clean, organized facility.
• Identify opportunities to add value from byproducts or excess inventory.
• Ensure QA/QC inspections are conducted prior to shipment.
• Monitor hours and breaks; manage staffing coverage.
