Trident Seafoods, North America’s largest vertically integrated seafood company, is seeking workers to assist in coordinating production activities and ensuring safety protocols in Alaska. The role involves monitoring material flow, training staff, and resolving production issues in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

• Assists in coordinating and monitoring activities of workers engaged in the production process and processes seafood product.
• Ensure proper use of protective gear, safe operation of machinery, and safe use of chemical cleaning agents.
• Report continuing performance and attendance issues to supervisor.
• Receive and answer questions from workers pertaining to production processes or equipment operation.
• Monitor and expedite flow of materials within production area and make adjustments when necessary.
• Train workers in equipment operation and processing and safety procedures.
• Communicate with Supervisors and other Lead personnel any problems or concerns.
