Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Seafood Team member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the seafood department. You will ensure a bright, clean, and well-stocked display, while providing courteous and efficient service in line with store SOPs.

Responsibilities include maintaining signage, assisting with sampling, and upholding health and safety standards. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to sell proactively.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing display; keep cases and shelves stocked and clean.
• Maintain accurate department signage and pricing.
• Keep back stock organized and accessible.
• Maintain a safe, clean working and shopping environment.
• Assist with sampling program; keep areas full and tidy.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, uprights, and drains as required.
• Prepare and smoke fish; label, date cooked products.
