Job summary

El Super #36 in Salinas, CA is hiring a Seafood Clerk to join the Store Operations Team. The starting rate is $16.90 per hour and the job focuses on friendly customer service, seafood display setup, cleanup, and rotation. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service.
• Assists the customers, sets up, maintains and cleans the seafood display cases.
• Cleans, fills and rotates the seafood displays.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged period of times.
