Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Seafood Clerk to prepare fish and seafood for sale by cutting, cleaning and trimming as needed. You’ll work in the meat/seafood area following safety standards and participate in a team-focused environment.

Strong attention to detail and basic kitchen skills are required, with English/Spanish bilingual ability viewed positively. This role supports a clean, organized counter and efficient product handling for customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in meat/seafood department is a plus.
• Basic kitchen skills and familiarity with seafood prep.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Job Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensures area is clean, fish tanks are full and free of sleeper
• Ensures all products are properly signed and all product is rotated correctly
• Certifies products received throughout the day
• Washes all dishes and utensils thoroughlyOther duties as assigned by management

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent required
• Experience working in a meat and/or seafood department, a plus
• Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in seafood departments.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities required for satisfactory performance.

Physical Demands And Work Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
• Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
