Job summary

El Super in Rialto is seeking a Seafood Clerk for store #35 to join the Store Operations Team. The position offers a starting rate of $16.90 per hour and involves providing friendly customer service, helping customers, and maintaining the seafood displays.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand and move about for extended periods, and hold a Food Handler Card or equivalent where required. El Super is part of the Chedraui USA group and offers opportunities and benefits to employees.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively in one-on-one or small group settings.
• Follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Assists the customers, sets up, maintains and cleans the seafood display cases. Cleans, fills and rotates the seafood displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged period of times.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to: preparation, handling and serving food.
