Position Objective: To assist customers in their shopping experience by receiving, cutting, and serving seafood products in an efficient, friendly, and courteous manner.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Seafood Manager.

Status: Non-exempt position.

Knowledge

The following are certification, education, or training requirements:

• A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
• Completion of ongoing training as listed on the Cosentino Learning Plan.

Skills

Basic skills required for this position include:

• Following proper techniques for cutting and preparing seafood.
• Monitoring expiration dates and rotating stock.
• Handling damaged or un-saleable products appropriately.
• Accurately counting and recording merchandise for inventory.
• Changing shelf tags and pricing labels efficiently.
• Providing knowledgeable customer service and answering questions accurately.
