Job summary

Fiesta Mart, part of the Chedraui USA group, is seeking a Seafood Clerk in Austin to deliver friendly customer service and maintain fresh seafood displays. The role involves setting up displays, rotating stock, and assisting customers in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand and stoop for extended periods. Food handler card or equivalent certification is required where applicable. Equal opportunity employer statement included.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.

• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service and maintains the seafood display cases.
• Cleans, fills and rotates the seafood displays and keeps the area tidy.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Assists the customers, sets up, maintains and cleans the seafood display cases. Cleans, fills and rotates the seafood displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged period of times.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
