Fiesta Mart, part of the Chedraui USA family, is hiring a Seafood Clerk – 039 Houston-Bellaire-Gessner to join our Store Operations Team. You will assist customers, maintain the fresh seafood displays, and ensure product quality and cleanliness throughout the shift.

Work under direct supervision in a fast-paced grocery environment. The ideal candidate can read and write English and Spanish, lift up to 50–60 pounds, and communicate clearly with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers and coworkers.
• Regularly lift and move up to 60 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Under direct supervision, provide friendly, courteous customer service.
• Set up, maintain and clean seafood display cases.
• Rotate and replenish seafood displays to ensure freshness.
• Must be able to lift 50–60 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.

Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Assists the customers, sets up, maintains and cleans the seafood display cases. Cleans, fills and rotates the seafood displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged period of times.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements. Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to: preparation, handling and serving food.
