Fiesta Mart in Houston, located at 4114 Fulton St, is seeking a Seafood Clerk to deliver friendly, courteous service and assist customers in the seafood department. You will help set up, maintain, and clean seafood displays to ensure attractive presentation throughout your shift.

Candidates should be able to read and write Spanish/English, lift up to 60 lbs, and perform basic PC/Outlook tasks. This role supports our community and store operations with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following abilities:

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs., frequently up to 45 lbs., occasionally up to 60 lbs.

Job Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, the Seafood Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service; assists customers, sets up, maintains, and cleans the seafood display cases; cleans, fills, and rotates the displays; lifts up to 50 lbs., bends, stands, and stoops for prolonged periods.

Physical requirements include lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and visual and auditory requirements.

Certification

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
