Job summary

The University of Washington seeks a Project Manager (program operations specialist) to oversee the SEASAM Seafloor Sampling Facility. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Earth or environmental science or equivalent experience.
  • Four years' experience in marine geoscience or related field.
  • Experience with seafloor sampling operations and cruise planning/logistics.
  • Experience with shipboard operation and deployment of seafloor sampling equipment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first and central point of contact for the SEASAM Facility and researchers.
  • Coordinate cruise planning, budgeting, and scheduling with operations and vessel teams.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and vendor contracts for the facility.
