Responsibilities

• Perform erection, maintenance and dismantling of scaffolding under supervision.
• Inspect scaffold components for damage and defects.
• Adhere to OSHA, site requirements and Marquis Construction Services policies.
• Participate in safety pre-job audits with scaffold crew.
• Support scaffold crew during erection, maintenance and dismantling.
• Level and square scaffold bases, attach braces and ladders.
• Perform general housekeeping on the job site.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.

Summary/Objective

AScaffoldLeadmanandCarpenterisresponsibleforperformingerection,maintaininganddismantlingassignmentsaspartofacrew,underthedirectsupervisionofacompetentperson.Thispositionrequiresanexperienced,self-motivated,safety-conscienceindividualwhoisfamiliarwithOSHAscaffoldingregulations.

EssentialFunctions

• AdherestoallOSHA,sitespecificandMarquisConstructionServicesrequirementsfortheconstruction,assemblyanddismantlingofthescaffolding.
• Inspectsjobsiteandallscaffoldmaterialfordefectandsafetyhazards
• Participateinsafetypre-jobaudits(JSA’s)withthescaffoldingcrewtoensureallsafetyhazardshavebeenidentified
• Providesupporttoascaffoldingcrewintheerection,maintaininganddismantlingofscaffoldingstructures.
• Inspectscaffoldingcomponentsfordamageandotherdefects.
• Utilizescaffoldingtoolsintheerection,maintaininganddismantlingofscaffolding
• Participatesinthelevelingandsquaringofscaffoldbase,attachingbraces,horizontals,ladders,toeboards,swinggates.
• Performgeneralhousekeepingonthejobsite
• Anyotherdutiesasassignedbysupervision
