Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards is seeking a Test and Trials Working Leaderman (Sea Trials) with strong shipbuilding background to lead craft production and oversee sea-trial operations. The role requires senior hands-on leadership, deep knowledge of craft processes, and the ability to coordinate complex trial activities on vessels.

Qualifications

• 7 years shipbuilding experience, or 5 years internal Company experience in a similar role.
• Sea-trials experience or related craft operations.
• Previous supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead craft activities for the assigned workstation during sea-trials.
• Develop and maintain production plans, schedules, budgets, and records.
• Set up, operate, repair, and maintain craft equipment during sea-trials.
• Inspect multiple specialized areas (welding, machining, painting, piping, mechanical, electrical, electronics, alarms, testing).
• Utilize advanced NDE techniques (Thermographic, Fiber Optic, Radiography, PT, MT, UT).
• Supervise and coach craft workers to ensure compliance with marine standards.
• Coordinate with other craft managers to ensure smooth workflows.
